The instruction sheet that comes with each Appliqué and Stain Glass Quilt Pattern covers two methods of machine quilting as well as construction of the wall quilt from start to finish. As there is always more than one way of doing things, these instructions were approached with that in mind and were designed and broken down to help the beginner in all of us whether for a new technique or the whole quilting process itself. If you prefer hand appliqué and hand quilting, the appliqué patterns for these wall quilts could be adapted by adding seam allowances.

Should you choose to use Stipple Quilting and Metallic Threads for your wall quilt, each quilt pattern comes with an instruction sheet for this method of quilting and hints on different needles and machine tension for using metallic threads.

What is Stipple Quilting?

Stipple Quilting is a free form method of quilting, giving you the quilter, freedom and control of the movement of the quilt top through the machine. It is a method a lot of people shy away from, but once you try it you'll find it is quick and it is fun! Think of stipple quilting as a curving, squiggly line that has no beginning or end.
